The Software & Information Industry Association recently announced its 64th annual Jesse H. Neal Award finalists, with SGC/SGC Horizon earning 15 finalist recognitions in 11 categories. The brands earning this prestigious 2018 recognition are Smart & Resilient Cities, Water & Wastes Digest, Building Design+Construction, Professional Builder, Professional Remodeler, ProTradeCraft.com, Construction Equipment, Multifamily Design+Construction, Lighting & Decor, Imaging Technology News and Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology.

The winners, selected for exhibiting journalistic enterprise, service to the industry and editorial craftsmanship, will be announced on April 5, at the Neal Awards luncheon in New York City.

Smart & Resilient Cities.com was named a finalist in the Best Single Article category for its “Judging a City's Wellbeing Using Tweets and Social Commentary.”

Water & Wastes Digest was named a finalist in the Best Subject-related Package for its Special Report “Hounded by Harvey.”

Selected as a finalist for the sixth straight year, Building Design+Construction/BDCnetwork.com has been honored in two 2018 categories: Best Subject-related Package for its March 2017 Tech Report 4.0, and Best Media Brand (Overall Editorial Excellence).

Professional Builder/ProBuilder.com for the second year in-a-row has two finalist nods: in the Best Profile category for its “2017 Builder of the Year: Active Culture/Professional Builder,” and in the Best Single Issue of a Tabloid/Newspaper/Magazine category for its January 2017 issue.

Professional Remodeler/ProRemodeler.com is a finalist in three categories including: Best Commentary/Blog for its “As I See it” column; two nominations in the Best Profile category for “Dwindling Flame” and “From Zero to Fifty”; and Best Instructional Content category for its ProTradeCraft.com Building Science and Jobsite Know-How columns.

Construction Equipment/ConstructionEquipment.com is a finalist for the second year in a row in the Best Instructional Content category for its Executive Institute columns.

Multifamily Design+Construction is a finalist in the Best Art Direction for a Single Article or Cover category for its “Triple Treat.”

Lighting & Decor is a finalist in the Best Overall Art Direction/Design category.

Imaging Technology News/ITNonline.com is a finalist for the second year in a row, honored this year in the Best Range of Work by a Single Author category.

Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology was named as a finalist in the Best Use of Social Media category for the second consecutive year for its extensive social media campaign in cardiology.

The Jesse H. Neal Award is recognized as the “Pulitzer Prize of the business press.” Established in 1955, the awards are named after Connectiv's first managing director, who remained active in promoting the B2B industry throughout his life.
