Arlington Heights, IL (June 4, 2013) — Registration for BUILDINGChicago and Greening the Heartland is open at www.buildingchicagoexpo.com.

To be held at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza, North America’s largest LEED Gold Certified hotel, the events feature more than 60 sessions/workshops and keynotes. All sessions offer AIA/CES and GBCI credits and will focus on sustainable design, Building Information Modeling, developments in healthcare and universities, and more.

The doors open September 9, 2013 for the two-day Greening the Heartland expo and educational sessions. The BUILDINGChicago expo and sessions take place September 10 and 11.

“After looking at the complementary nature of our two events,” says Harry Urban, VP of Events for SGC, “both groups decided it would bring added value to attendees and exhibitors to schedule our 2013 events in the same location.”

The annual midwest Greening the Heartland expo and conference is owned by the U.S. Green Building Council – Illinois Chapter.

BUILDINGChicago is a new trade event for the commercial building design and construction industry. Owned by Scranton Gillette Communications and SGC Horizon, publishers of Building Design+Construction, the event is supported by AIA Chicago, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and the Builders Association, a Charter Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America.
