Arlington Heights, IL (May 6, 2014) — SGC Horizon’s Professional Builder INSIGHT announces the availability of Canadian Builder Practices Reports in 16 product categories that provide data on the volume of materials purchased for new single and multifamily Canadian homes built in 2013. The reports were generated from a Canadian Builder Practices Survey conducted in late 2013 by PB INSIGHT’s research partner, Home Innovation Research Labs.

For the first time since 2009, Canadian homebuilders were surveyed in both French and English to document home sizes, styles and materials selections. The questionnaire and data tabulation methodology was modeled after the U.S. Builder Practices Survey. Detailed purchase volumes are provided for such categories as windows, doors, roofing, interior finishes, siding and more.

Multifamily data are reported by total Canada; single-family data are reported by total Canada, plus five geographic areas: Atlantic Provinces, Quebec, Ontario, Prairie Provinces, and British Columbia. Additionally, the Canadian Consumer Practices Survey of remodeling purchases is complete and reports in 26 product categories will be available in May 2014.

Professional Builder INSIGHT combines Professional Builder’s 79-year history of providing in-depth home building coverage to its extensive audience of homebuilders throughout the United States and Canada, with Home Innovation Research Labs’ 50-year track record of serving the research needs of the home building industry’s most successful companies.
