Arlington Heights, IL (March 8, 2020) — Connectiv has announced the finalists for the 66th annual Jesse H. Neal Awards, including seven nominees across five SGC Horizon media properties — Pro Builder, Building Design+Construction and its BDCuniversity.com platform, Multifamily Design+Construction, and ProTradeCraft.com.

The Neal Awards, considered to be the Pulitzer Prize of the nation’s business press, recognize B2B media outlets for journalistic enterprise, service to the industry, creative innovation, and editorial craftsmanship.

Pro Builder team members Rich Binsacca, Larry Nigh, Ingrid Bush, Nigel Maynard, Mike Beirne, Annie Cebulski, and Denise Dersin, earned nominations in three categories — Best Overall Art Direction/Design, Best Media Brand (Overall Editorial Excellence), and Best Single Issue of a Tabloid/Newspaper/Magazine for its January 2019 edition.

In the Best Instructional Content category, Building Design+Construction team members Robert Cassidy, Catherine LePenske, Larry Nigh, and David Barista earned finalist honors for their work on BDCuniversity.com, BD+C's continuing education platform for architects, engineers, contractors, and building owners/developers. This is their second year of being recognized as a finalist in this category.

Building Design+Construction, led by team members John Caulfield and Robert Cassidy, was also recognized for Best Technical Content for its Tech Report 6.0.

Multifamily Design+Construction, led by Robert Cassidy and Larry Nigh, earned recognition in the Best Profile category for “Masters of Offsite Construction.”

Dan Morrison and the editorial team at ProTradeCraft.com, SGC Horizon’s multimedia technical journal providing useful and interesting construction know-how to all skill levels across multiple digital platforms, earned finalist status in the category of Best Use of Video/Webcast for Weatherization Nation.

Jesse H. Neal Award winners will be announced on March 27, during a special awards ceremony at Current at Chelsea Piers in New York City.
