Arlington Heights, IL (Feb. 27, 2009) — Scranton Gillette Communications, located in Arlington Heights, IL, has acquired the assets of Residential Lighting and its Web site www.ResidentialLighting.com from Lincolnshire, IL’s Vance Publishing Corp. Hospitality Lighting was also included in the acquisition. Harry Urban, vice president of Scranton Gillette’s Events Team, spearheaded the transition. Urban was previously the Vice President, Interiors Media Network for Vance. The new team at Residential Lighting consists of Laura Van Zeyl, publisher and editorial director, and Sherwin Horowitz, Territory Sales Representative. Both Van Zeyl and Horowitz are also veteran Residential Lighting staffers. In addition, lighting guru, Randall Whitehead and former Residential Lighting Executive Editor, Jennifer Pinto, will remain as contributing editors.
