Amy Albert Joins Professional Builder Magazine as Editor in Chief
Arlington Heights, IL (February 4, 2015) — SGC Horizon’s Professional Builder magazine, the leading media brand for the nation’s home builders since 1936, announces the addition of Amy Albert to Professional Builder’s award-winning editorial team. Albert brings more than 20 years of journalism experience to her new position as editor in chief. She will oversee the brand’s print and digital products, and develop brand strategy along with Editorial Director Denise Dersin.
Albert spent the last four years covering residential new construction at Hanley Wood as chief editor of Custom Home and senior editor of Builder magazine. She received a 2014 Eddie Award Honorable Mention for Custom Home and a 2013 ASPBE Award for Editorial Excellence in Impact/Investigative Feature Writing for Builder. She has served on several design juries, including the National Association of Home Builders’ Best in American Living Awards and the Gold Nugget Awards.
