Arlington Heights, IL (February 4, 2015) — The Association of Business Information & Media Companies (ABM) recently announced the 2015 Jesse H. Neal Award finalists, with Scranton Gillette Communication’s (SGC) Roads & Bridges named as one of four finalists in the Best Subject-Related Series category for its 2014-launched Bridge Rescue columns and features in print and online. The winners, selected for exhibiting journalistic enterprise, service to the industry and editorial craftsmanship, will be announced on March 27 at the New York City awards ceremony.

Roads & Bridges’ monthly publication, newsletters and website content serve more than 62,000 infrastructure contractors and producers, consulting engineers and government officials who are involved in the process of maintaining highways and bridges in North America. Editorial Director Bill Wilson has been covering the infrastructure industry for 15 years and has won nine Robert F. Boger journalism awards.

SGC/SGC Horizon brands tallied 11 finalist recognitions in nine 2015 Neal Awards categories. In addition to Roads & Bridges Best Subject-Related Series category recognition, Building Design+Construction is a finalist in the Best Technical Content and the Best Newsletter categories, and a two-time finalist in the Best Subject-Related Package category.

Professional Builder/ProBuilder.com is a finalist in the Best Commentary category, Best Subject-Related Package category, and the Best Theme Issue of a Magazine or Newspaper category. The Diapason magazine is a finalist in the Best News Story category, and Residential Lighting magazine is a finalist in the Best Use of Social Media category.

ABM’s Jesse H. Neal Award is recognized as the “Pulitzer Prize of the business press.” Established in 1955, the awards are named after ABM’s first managing director, who promoted the business press throughout his life.
